1. Dandruff
Loose scales of dry dead skin shed from the scalp.
Preparation:Pound the rhizomes (Bunga ng Kilaw) to extract the juice.
Application:Rub or massage the juice directly onto the scalp and hair.
˜Rinsing:Leave the juice on overnightand shampoo the next morning.
2. Flatulence or Gas Pain
The presence of excessive gas in the stomach and intestinal tract.
Chop and boil 1 piece (about 2 inches) of rhizome in 2 glasses of water for 10 minutes.
3. Rheumatism or Rheumatic Joint Pain
General term for disorders causing pain, stiffness, or limited movement in the joints.
Preparation:Chop or crush a rhizomeand mix with oil (e.g., coconut or olive oil) to form a paste.
Application: Apply the mixture on the affected joint as a poultice (thick, soft paste) and leave it on overnight.
