1. Cough

A cough is a noisy, forceful release of air from the lungs. Some coughs are dry, while others produce a mixture of mucus, irritants, and other substances.

1 cup of chopped dried leaves and flowers (or 1 cup of fresh) in 2 glasses of water for 15 minutes.

2. Flatulence or Gas Pain

Flatulence is the presence of excessive gas in the stomach and intestines.

Crush or chop leaves and mix with coconut oil.

Rub the mixture on the abdomen and apply an abdominal binder. Leave it on overnight or for at least 4 hours.

Age Group Dosage (2 hours after supper)
Adults 1½ cups every 4 hours.
Children (7–9 years) 2 tablespoons every 4 hours.
Children (10–12 years) 1½ cups every 4 hours.
